Mary Poppins Returns – A Must See Movie for the Whole Family!

This is not a movie review but to encourage everyone in the family to watch Mary Poppins Returns. If there’s one movie for everybody, this is it. And please do watch it in the movie theater and not just download it from the internet. Just like most movies, there’s nothing better than seeing it in the theater. You will not be disappointed.

Which is better, Mary Poppins of Julie Andrews or Mary Poppins Returns of Emily Blunt?

Alright, if you really want me to answer that question please don’t blame me If I will blurt out some scenes which may spoil your enjoyment of it Nah, I won’t do itFirst, let me claim that I am a die hard Mary Poppins fan. Second, I was excited to see the movie to compare it with the previous one. Can Emily Blunt put justice on Mary Poppins role? Is there another Mary Poppins to rival Julie Andrews ?

If there’s one suggestion I want to give you dear readers is don’t ever compare the movies or even the actors! This is Emily blunt movie and not Julie Andrews anymore. (Shhh: There’s are a lot of resemblance and easter egg from the previous one).

This is a sequel and not a remake or reboot of Mary Poppins 1964 classic movie. My verdict on Emily Blunt, she was perfectly cast as Mary Poppins! She made it her own. This is the very reason why Julie Andres is not in this sequel. In an interview posted on Variety.com, according to the director Rob Marshall ” She immediately said no,” Marshall said at the premiere of “Mary Poppins Returns.” “She said, ‘This is Emily’s show and I want her to run with this. She should run with this. This is hers. I don’t want to be on top of that.’”

You will find an excuse to connect with your childhood but this is something new and enchanting. For those who have seen the classic Mary Poppins, this sequel will put big silly grin on your face for most of it and will make you emotional all throughout . Again, my suggestion is to go see it as a new movie and a new adventure.

Mary Poppins Returns is a tribute to the classic but just as magical as the original.

If you ask me, Disney made Mary Poppins Returns practically perfect in every way.
