AWCP History

During the mid-1978, Ann Murphy, wife of the American Ambassador at that time, arrived in Manila. This time she was surprised to gain knowledge that there is no club hosting American women in the country. In this lieu, she and her close ties, who are enthusiastic, talented and hard-working women, organized and formed the American Women’s Club of the Philippines. The first meeting was done in 1979. On April 23, the group of officers was voted at the Makati Sports Club.

Every year that pass, new activities are formed and the groups’ involvement in the Filipino community heightens. Also, the group is proud to be part of such a lively and enriching organization.
